Bucker Jungmann Luftwaffe Gallery: Aircraft Description: The Bucker Bu131 Jungmann served as one of the Luftwaffe's main primary trainers from 1935 until the end of World War 2. The Jungmann had an inverted oil system for its Hirth engine, which made it fully aerobatic. Many were built under licence in other countries. The Spanish company CASA made them up until early 1960, and the Collection's Jungmann is one of these. It is painted in the colours of a Luftdienst trainer GD+EG, which was stolen by two Frenchmen from Caen-Carpiquet aerodrome in Normandy and flown to R A F Christchurch on 29th April 1941
