Corsair head on Gallery: Aircraft Description: Built by the Goodyear Aircraft Corparation in 1945 and posted to the Pacific. After her return to the U S she was taken off charge and sent to a scrapyard Rescued from there by legendary stunt pilot Frank Tallman and brought up to flying condition and it was said that it was his favourite aircraft. Tallman eventully sold the aircraft and after having several owners it was purchased by the Fighter Collection which is based at Duxford U K . The aircraft is painted in the colours of the Fleet Air Arm machine K D 345 of 1850 Squadron during December 1945 when they were embarked on H M S Vengence of the British Pacific Fleet
