MK XIX Gallery: Aircraft Description: Spitfire MK 19 PS890 was built by Supermarine Aviation in 1944.In 1951 it was taken out of R A F service and presented to the Royal Thai Air Force. In 1962 it was donated to an air museum in the U S A. In 2005 it was sold to Christophe Jacquard based at Dijon in FRance. PS 890 was overhauled in the winter of 2008/9. The aircraft was given a new colour scheme with 152 SQ codes UM-E of South East Asia Command during World War Two, including the "leaping leopard"motif aover the foundel. The aircraft is seen here doing a low pass at the Flying Legends airshow.
