Halifax at Elvington Yorks Gallery: Aircraft Description: The Yorkshire Air Museum on the site of the Second World War airfield R A F Elvington, has a fully restored aircraft re- constuction from a fuselage section of a Halifax "B" Mark 2 and parts of other aircraft including the wings from an R A F Hastings. It is painted to represent Halifax LV 907 "Friday the 13th" from 158 SQ on the port side and "N" Novembre" of 347 SQ Free FRench Air Force on the starboard side. R A F Elvington being the home of the only two French heavy bomber squadrons in Bomber Command.
